After studying under fine art photographer John Blakemore at The University of Derby in the early 1990s, I've made my living as a photographer, an actor, a writer, a musician, and perhaps most depressingly, a civil servant.
Photography has been a part of my life for over 40 years, going from old school film cameras and darkrooms to the very latest digital technology.
However, in 2022 I suddenly lost the sight in my right eye and, for a while, I didn't even pick up a camera. I couldn't see how I could continue as a photographer and so got rid of all my photography equipment. It was not a fun time.
